Pompeii walking tour
A private guide will lead you to explore and experience what an everyday Roman town was like before being destroyed by volcanic ash.
Pompeii was a large Roman town in the Italian region of Campania which was completely buried in volcanic ash following the eruption of nearby Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD, when the entire area went under a thick carpet of volcanic ash. Since1997 the archaeological area has been a UNESCO world heritage site.
Then we move by private car to Gragnano, city famous for the ancient production of pasta since 1500. In 2013, Gragnano Pasta is recognized as a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI).We will visit an ancient pasta factory to discover all the steps of the process of pasta making, we will learn how to recognize a good pasta and how to cook it, at the end we will have lunch in the factory, obviously tasting the pasta of Gragnano.
